Old Arlington, Inc. launched this website, myArlington, <\/em> to signal a new emphasis in its vision for the Arlington community<\/strong><\/p>\n

OAI\u2019s dual mission – historic preservation and community revitalization – now becomes more fully realized.\u00a0 myArlington<\/em><\/strong> connects the people ofArlington with its history, with what\u2019s happening now, and what\u2019s envisioned for its future.<\/p>\n

This site not only expands the web presence of OAI\u2019s historic archives – a product of nearly two decades of OAI\u2019s preservation efforts \u2013 it\u2019s also a unique source for information on Arlington\u2019s current happenings and events.\u00a0 We\u2019ll plug you into news that impacts our neighborhoods today, and the projects and initiatives that will shape our community tomorrow.\u00a0 All along we\u2019ll be connecting with our neighbors and others in forums both personal and online, and linking through social media such as\u00a0 I Grew Up in Arlington<\/span><\/em>,<\/a> which has over 3,000 fans.<\/p>\n

OAI\u2019s myArlington <\/em><\/strong>website is a portal into the heartbeat of a unique community that is made up of people, neighborhoods, and businesses that have been coming together for many years.\u00a0 We have many long time residents who have built, and built upon, the heritage of \u201cOld Arlington\u201d.\u00a0 We also have many new residents that bring fresh eyes, and ideas to look ahead, ready to push forward and make Arlington the best it can be.\u00a0 We are a community that has its challenges – as do all.\u00a0 But there is a strength that lies in the diversity of people that call Arlington home.\u00a0 Now, with myArlington<\/em><\/strong>, there is connection as well.<\/p>\n
